Start with Inner Harbor. The National Aquarium is there, a WWII submarine, shops, lots of places to eat. You could also go to Fells Point. There is lots to do there too.
If you have time, go into DC and see the monuments and check out the Smithsonian.

In DC take them to the Air and Space Museum, National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian Zoo, Washington Monument, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial, and Union Station. Once you’re in Union Station you can shop and have lunch. If you have the time, drive to Tysons Corner mall in Virginia (30 minutes from downtown DC).
In New York there are even more attractions. Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Chinatown, The Village, Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Bridge are some of the attractions in NYC.
Get around DC by using the Metro (you can park at many of the stations in suburban Maryland). Get an all day pass. In New York use the subway. Get a fun pass (same as an all day pass). Have fun!
