If you were a tour guide for an international travel company, could you get posted anywhere in the world?

I’m writing a story where one of the main characters has this job. I presume people are usually experts in certain areas remain working there, but if she was say, sickness cover for the travel company, could she be in one country one month, and then another the next?

of course!!! she will go where she is needed — she has the ability to speak several languages and knows the local customs and culture!!!
