Can anyone help guide my mom for her travel from India to USA?
My mom is going to visit my brother who stays in USA. She will start from Mumbai and go via Amsterdam(Netherlands) to US. Now that there are only a few days remaining, she is getting nervous. Can anyone tell her what all will she be required to do once she gets to the Mumbai(INDIA) airport , then on the plane, then when she lands at the Amsterdam airport, what forms will she have to fill up there?, what she will need to do to get on the connecting flight?, then at the airport in USA(final destination)? I have requested for a wheel chair for her as I was told the she will have to walk long distance at the internatinal airport in AMS. Now some other friends are suggesting that I should request for an electric cart as it will take her to the next step without her having to find out herself what she should do.
I would have gone with her but it is not possible for me. Escort servise is not permitted along with wheel chair. Please help. Details will be very much appreciated. Thank you v. m

When she goes to the Mumbai airport she’ll have to show the passport and ticket, make sure she’s there 3 hours before the departure, also it would be better if she gets her luggage sent straight to the flight going to USA otherwise she’ll have to pick her stuff in Amsterdam…
She can watch movies, tv shows, and listen to music on the flight to Amsterdam, then in Amsterdam she’ll have to go to the gate where US flight will be flying from, and she’ll need her passport and ticket there as well…

upon check-in at mumbai airport , ask the staff to check her luggage in all the way to final destination .. request a seat as front as possible , request for a wheelchair n assistant from them ,
all major airlines provide this services where they call MAAS-meet and assist .. she will be notified by the ground staff to the cabin crew , so when she`s on board they will take extra care for her .. upon arrival in Amsterdam she will be asst by the the ground staff … usually for MAAS passenger they have a special lounge for them to wait for the next flight .. they will assist her upon transit until the next departure flight …
don’t have to worry .. all major airlines have this kind of services ..

First you have to give her information regarding the travel she has to undetake by herself step by step so she is less nervouse then call the concerned airlines and ask for assistance If she is travelling by NWA ther is hindi speaking steward on board so he can help
then some one from NWA ground staff will meet her at amsterdem to help her ( provided if you ask for assistance in advance)
If you knwo any indian parents travelling or she can approcah any indian family or old couple at the time of check in they all help so dont worry
